History
The house №53 in Sadovaya street(today the building of the hotel “Na Sadovoy”) was built in the 70s of the 19th century. Elisabet Perno, an Estonian woman, was the owner of the «apartment house» at that time. She leased furnished apartments for living (75 kop. per twenty-four hours). In 1932 the building was completely reconstructed and the ownership was transferred to Leningrad Stalin Academy of industry for student accommodation according to the order of Narkomat. Beginning with 1946 the hostel of Leningrad high party school OK VKP(b) was situated in the building № 53 in Sadovaya street. In 1992 the mayor of Saint-Petersburg Anatoly Sobchak gave instructions to make the municipal hotel instead of the hostel №3 VPSH. On 11 May 2004 MP — the hotel “Na Sadovoy” was re-formed into the joint- stock hotel” Na Sadovoy”. The joint -stock hotel “Na Sadovoy” is situated in the historic center of the city, across the street from Jusupov garden. The hotel is situated very close to the main sights of Saint-Petersburg, it will take you no more than 10-15 minutes to get to them on foot. You can walk on Dvorzovaya square and in the eastern tip of Vasilyevsky Island any time you want, admire Kazansky cathedral and Isaakievsky cathedral, visit Mariinsky theatre and famous Kunstcamera . During white nights you can always enjoy the show of bridges-opening. |
